A paid membership is essential to particpate in any CEMA group. CEMA inc executive acts as an "umbrella organisation" for the groups and is responsible for insurance. CEMA groups may charge an additonal group levy.

Many worthwhile Arts activities for groups and individuals have been supported over two decades. Most recently Portland students have been supported to attend Victorian Drama League - Theatrecraft Youth Unlimited camps.
