Listening to the Voices -
celebrating 80 years.

The "Listening to the Voices" project aims to preserve the recorded memories of Portland C.E.M.A. ( Council for Encouragement of Music and the Arts) early members in order to enable access to local historians, family historians and current members. Assisted by a Glenelg Shire Community Grant (Arts and Culture) a series of interviews conducted by Lesley Jackson with early members recorded in the 1980s and 1990s has been digitised and will be shared via the Victorian Collections site in celebration of CEMA's 80 years of encouraging music and the arts in Portland , Victoria.
