| Joy was born in
Portland. As a child she loved sketching anything, especially after she
acquired spectacles at the age of ten and realised that things had detail.
Adult life and motherhood intervened, but in 1997 when taking a TAFE art
course, her gift was realised, acknowledged and encouraged. Since then she has entered her works in various art shows, receiving a number of awards including several "bests" in various media. Joy Schultz is a member of The Portland Artists' Society and this is her first solo exhibition. 52 works drawn from her painting life were on show and most of them for sale. |
